As a new mum, my life revolved around breastfeeding.
Like many women, I had my own set of difficulties with breastfeeding my son but I was determined to try. I felt too shy to breastfeed in front of family and friends who came to our flat to see our baby and I’d limit my time out of the flat as my baby wouldn’t feed without a fuss in cafes. The muslin cloth and scarf were too difficult to put on when the baby was fussing.
A breastfeeding cover was the answer. But as someone who’s obsessed with beautiful and good quality fabrics I wanted a lovely nursing cover to wear. I didn’t manage to find one I liked, so I decided to design one.
And that’s how My Little Koala was born.
I design My Little Koala breastfeeding cover up aprons in beautiful fabrics to have the features that were important to me while breastfeeding and I hope you like them too.
The key features of my design are:
- Stylish cotton fabrics
- Two side pockets
- Rigid neckline
- Adjustable neck strap
- Extra wide sides
For anyone who’s wondering the name ‘My Little Koala’ is a reference to Australia, where I grew up.
Happy breastfeeding,
Laleh
